lol its in my "to build pile"
1. mxr noise gate
2.metal simplex
3. DELAY >_<!
btw i noticed that people use the noise gate straight after there guitar to get rid of small noises that the guitar puts out
like a string tap...
can i shove it after all my high gain distorion to a certain threshold to filter out the curcuit hum? |

Yes, that works very well, if the noise gate is a good one and is sensitive enough to do what you want to do.

I mean that the supply voltage doesn't drop, like it did with a battery ( the battery could have been nearly dead though). I have the chip in the same way as on the Tonepad layout

Well, I am perplexed. Here's a few other thoughts -
1. Did you use a 2N5088? If not, what did you use? And, did you verify that the pinout was correct?
2. Did you use an SA571 or an NE570? Not sure it makes a difference, but it might.
3. What opamp did you use?
4. What happens if you pull the LED indicator FET out of its socket? And are you sure that the pinouts of this FET are connected to the PCB correctly?
5. What kind of caps did you use for the 1uF caps? Are you sure that they are all oriented correctly?

| I'm gonna leave the Rebote for now and build the delay circuit from the PT2399 datasheet and if it works, upgrade it to a Rebote 2.5. |

AH! IT WORKS!!
And it feels sooo good, especially after all the trouble I went through with this. I kinda rebuilt it (same board and components though) and it started working!!!
Sounds so good, if anyone out there wants to build a delay, BUILD THIS ONE!
I sure hope you won't get into as much trouble as I did

Hey, that's great! Have fun with it. On a few occassions, I have had to rebuild circuits that weren't working for no apparent reason, too.
