DIYguitarist.com
came into being on 12/30/03. The pages I have authored previously resided in
six different locations tied to six different email addresss I had as part
of my AT&T ISP service. Due to the acute lack of available server space
for all of my webpages, I decided to buy a domain name and get everything in
one spot. At the same time, all of my webpages got a facelift and a consistent
theme to them. It took several long, sometimes frustrating days to get it all
done!
Since I was a boy, I would take things apart just to see how they work. As I got older, I would do most everything myself, from painting my own room to changing the hubs on the rims of my BMX bike and re-spoking them. Then I started playing the electric guitar, and that became a whole new fascinating world in many ways. I have worked in the consulting engineering field for twenty years, and it still is my nature to see how things work in addition to finding creative solutions to seemingly impossible problems. Out of curiousity, I will sometimes even reverse engineer things and document it. Some of these pages
are the only ones of their kind on the web. I have had people from all around
the world write to me with questions and comments on them. Kind of cool considering
that a few years ago I had no idea how to even publish a webpage. I hope you
enjoy these pages and find them to be interesting and informative.

I hope to offer some products at this website sometime in the future. That's been my vision for this website since last year (2008), and even though it seems more impossible than ever now that I don't even have a job anymore, I am going to in faith keep moving in that direction. And hopefully I will see it come to fruition, somehow, some way.
