My main focus at this time is building devices to make life easier for Parker Guitar players, and I have developed four different things that Parker players have requested over and over. I also designed an active buffered splitter box that has been prototyped. This would work well for Niteflys that have passive piezo pickups in them. This is the PPB-1, which can be seen below.
In addition,
I am asked if I can build and/or mod guitar pedals with increasing frequency these days. After considering this for a long while now, I have decided to begin offering some basic services. I don't know exactly what services I am going to provide at this time, but for now, I am at least going to offer modding and/or reconditioning old/new wah pedals. Price will depend on what you want to have done, so for now, email me
for pricing. Serious musicians only please! I'm not interested in
doing something for nothing, if you know what I mean - translation = musicians too poor to pay for quality work and better sound, please don't bother.
At a later date, I may offer a custom built hand wired stompbox service, but I have a day job,so we'll just have to see how much demand there is for this and go from there. I hope to work myself
out of my consulting engineering job eventually!
Parker Guitar Accessories
Here's some examples of the "1flyBOB", a stereo splitter box I make to replace those cheesy Y-cords that come with the Parker Fly. A much better solution, and with the built in ground lift, you can eliminate hum and buzzing that can occur when you connect the inputs of two different amps together thru the common ground in those Y-cords.
Here's an example of the "1flyBOB-D", which is the "1flyBOB" with a built-in direct box.
Here's an example of the "2flyBOB", which is basically the "1flyBOB" with an additional input you can can use two Flys with the same box. A convenient way to be able to use a pair of guitars with minimal hassle. Just step on the switch to change which guitar you are using!
Here's my first "2flyBOB-Direct", which is the "2flyBOB" with a built direct box. This one has a tuner out/mute switch on it per the request of the customer.
Here's a few other variations on a theme.

"1flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
I purchased a stereo breakout box from Paul to use with my Parker stereo
guitars. Paul was very helpful in offering different configurations and
delivery was quick. The box has worked out great for me and it looks
like it will outlast me.
From Lane Daughtry - Harrisburg, PA 1-6-07:
"1flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
I got my stereo breakout box a few days ago, but didn't get to try it out until yesterday. Paul
it is GREAT. The buzz is gone!!! Now I can play quietly (yea like that will really happen). I
too am experimenting with recording to my laptop and the box is primo. Excellent work!
From George Hawkins - Orlando, FL 1-8-07:
"1flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
If you want to run a stereo guitar through two amps without hum, THIS WORKS. Great job Paul.
From Dave Candido - New Jersey 1-10-07:
"1flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
Awesome box...expertly made, totally transparent and makes connections much easier to deal with than when using a single "Y" cord. Previously I had been getting a major hum when I played in my apartment with the overhead lights on. That hum is now totally gone - I no longer have to play in the dark! Thanks again!
From Andres Munoz - Australia 5-26-08:
"1flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
Man, my hat is off to you... This litle box has made a HUGE difference
to my sound. Thanks a lot.
Andres
From Scott Wilson - USA 1-12-07:
"PPB-1 Active Buffered Stereo Splitter Box Feedback"
Paul made a terrific splitter for me with an FET buffer and ground lift. I really love the sound it brought to the piezo pickup in my guitar and certainly was worth it weight in guitar y-cables.

From Dee King - Deland, FL 1-13-07:
"1flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
Paul's boxes rock. I just got my heavy duty model breakout box, and
it is excellent, very well made, and it banishes the hum. No more Y
cords, and my Bose L1 is very pleased. What more can you ask for, you
might ask? Quick shipping, very personable correspondence, and a very
good price for something hand made. Thanks, Paul.
From Jeff Fussell - Alabama 1-27-07:
"2flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
I received my dual breakout box -- which I call the 2FlyBOB -- from Paul Marossy earlier this week. I used it for the first time at rehearsal last night and it worked flawlessly.
Back in December, Paul posted about building a stereo breakout box to eliminate using the awkward "Y" cable... I asked Paul about a breakout box with 2 switchable inputs so I could have both the Deluxe and the SA at the ready. He responded with a design in about a minute and built one for a very reasonable price.
I got a few rolled eyes as I plugged everything in, but once in place made a very neat setup. For once, I don't have a big tangle of cables underfoot. I can switch from the SA to the Deluxe with no more effort than put one down, pick the other up, and step on the footswitch. A red/green bi-color LED reminds me which guitar is "hot".
If you use multiple guitars, the 2FlyBOB is the way to go.
Thanks, Paul.

"2flyBOB Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"

Paul, the quality of these boxes is excellent. I received the blue one pictured above and it looks and works great! Thanks again for taking the time to build me one of these! (extracted from the Parker Guitars forum, colors have been inversed for effect)
From Pat Hargan - Galway, Ireland 4-3-08:
"1flyBOB-D Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"

"Well, hats off to USPS - the box arrived this morning, no customs hassle or anything. First impressions: it looks great, and is smaller than I expected (this is a good thing, obviously). I love the hand detailing, the solid construction, the non-slip pad on the bottom… 'Quality' is the first word that springs to mind.
My old man has just arrived for a visit, so I'm not going to have a chance to experiment properly with it for a few days, but I have tried it with my guitar and it works great - humbucker in one channel of my desk, piezo through another. I can see I am going to have a lot of fun with this gizmo.
Paul, thanks very much for making this box for me. Needless to say, if I hear of anyone who needs something similar, I will point them in your direction. All the best, Pat"
From Doug Clark - USA 5-19-08:
"1flyBOB-D Stereo Breakout Box Feedback"
Hey Paul,
I just wanted to shoot you a quick e-mail and say thanks again for the
breakout box. I've been using it since January (when I got my Parker)
and it's been bulletproof and works without fail every time. Thanks
again for making such an awesome product.
Doug Clark"

From Paul Batlan - Oakland, CA 11-21-06:
"Boomerang II arrived and is Great!!!"
Great work Paul. I love the switching and the Boomer sounds fab!
Excellent work. This poor unit has had two previous repairs by
knowledgeable guys that I really respect but you really made her
sing. You are truly the King of the Maestro Wah - the choice of Tony
Joe White and so few others....
I noticed there was a new pot, true bypass switch and a few new caps.
The tone is dark the way i like it with a no unpleasant spikes as you
treadle forward...
The switch is very low profile and works great. it is nice to move
between the two modes so easily...
Cheers and feel free to add me as a reference on your work.
I thought this Wah was dead but it is now easily my top two favs
amongst its 5+ other friends."
(I was asked to true bypass this pedal, replace the pot, fix the backwards taper on the pot and install a wah/volume mode switch on the side of the
enclosure)

"Regarding ADA Flanger with Paul Gilbert Mod"
"just wanted to say i used the ada on a gig and it was outstanding.
one of my friends actually might want you to do a mod on one for him
because he loved it so much. thanks again. Devin"
